This two-hour workshop is for pregnant or current moms of any stage who are active in any way from the mother runner to the high level Crossfitter, this class will give you all the information you need to make solid choices about your training so you can continue kick ass in class, in the gym, or in your daily life as a mom.

The course is packed with information that will help you maintain your activity level throughout pregnancy while keeping your core and pelvic floor health in mind and give you tools and strategies to determine if an activity is still appropriate for your body in whatever chapter you are in. There’s so much more than “safe” and “not safe” when it comes to pregnancy and postpartum fitness and the information currently available for this population is, well, pretty lacking.

This workshop goes so much deeper than “listen to your body” and “just do what you’ve always done”

You’ll get hands on information about common aches, pains, and issues associated with pregnancy and postpartum as well as answers to your personal fitness questions so you can feel comfortable moving your body in pregnancy, returning to exercise postpartum, and while returning back to high load or impact activities.

In this class, you’ll learn:

  • Basic pelvic floor and core anatomy

  • Changes that happen in pregnancy and postpartum and why those changes matter in your workouts

  • Common symptoms of diastasis recti and pelvic floor dysfunction

  • Core and pelvic floor friendly lifting and impact strategies

  • What modifications may look like in the first, second, and third trimesters of pregnancy

  • Guidelines on how to return to exercise in the postpartum period including how and when adding things like sit ups, advanced lifting, running, and high impact activity back into your routine

  • How exercise considerations during the pregnancy and postpartum chapters can set you up for long term athleticism

  • And so much more!

If you’re a mom, you’re an athlete…

As moms, we spend our days lifting heavy kiddos, carrying odd objects, lunge-catching toddlers, and doing all kinds of things that require athleticism. Even if you don’t consider yourself an athlete, you are one.

In this workshop, you’ll learn ways to manage these everyday tasks as well. So when you’re running after your toddler who seems to think playing a real-life version of “Frogger” is a great idea, you don’t have to worry about changing your pants as well.

Join me Saturday April 27th from 2-4 PM at Battle Republic in Homewood, AL

bring all yo baby mama friends to kick back with champagne, Fresh juice, and light snacks while chatting all things core, pelvic floor, and fitness.
